The Pacific Northwest has always been my home. I grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, with a family that had no interest in horses. My love affair with horses began when I was three years old, after receiving a pony ride at a family friend's barbecue. I often joke that this is my mom's biggest regret. Since the day I rode that pony, horses have been all I've wanted to talk about. My dad would take daily walks with me down the street to pet the neighborhood horses. When I turned six, my parents finally relented and enrolled me in lessons at a Hunter Jumper barn. I spent many nights crying myself to sleep, begging for a horse of my own. After my parents divorced when I was 12, my dad fulfilled my dream by buying me my first horse, Dusty. Since then, I've worked diligently to keep horses in my life, spending the past 30 years working in barns to make horse ownership possible for me. My responsibilities have ranged from cleaning stalls to turning horses out; nothing has ever been handed to me. My experiences with horses have instilled in me a strong work ethic, and I am passionate about providing them with the very best care. I am excited about transitioning from the dressage world to the reining world and eager to see where this next chapter takes me. The people who make up Clover Oak Ranch are among the best I've met, and I feel blessed to call them family.
